Entities are commonly used in natural language processing (NLP), knowledge graphs, and databases to represent real-world objects, such as people, places, or events, and their associated attributes or relationships.

 
Key Characteristics:

 

  1. Uniqueness: Each entity is uniquely identifiable, often with a name or ID, to distinguish it from others.
  2. Attributes: Entities are often described by properties or features, such as a person’s name, age, or occupation.
  3. Relationships: Entities can be linked to other entities, forming networks of related information (e.g., a “Company” entity related to an “Employee” entity).
